March 31, 2011–Normally, breaking into business takes years, if that break ever comes at all. However, a crop of new business intelligence and analytic firms are burning that old truism to the ground. Our first inclination came from the MarketWire article, “Ajilitee Client Base Swells in First Year.”
Ajilitee saw its client base swell to 11 in only its first year of business, which really popped our eyes wide open. According to one company official, “Ajilitee uniquely blends expertise in big-data and analytics as well as cloud environments to help clients competitively innovate…Our consultants are known for their talent, and our team continues to grow to meet client demand.”
This is beginning to look like boom times for startups in business intelligence and analytics. Relative industry babies like Centage Corporation and Versik have been making a big splash lately. And, we think, why not? They’re hungry and agile—two things that don’t come cheap to the big boys.
