February 17, 2011–Data analytics companies are often praised for their groundbreaking and beneficial technology, but it seems that one company has earned the spotlight for quite a different reason. According to the SunHearld.com article “1010data Solidifies Position as the Leader in Big Data Analytics,” 1010 is being praised for its leadership due to the signing of its 150th customer. The article states “1010data’s impressive customer base speaks to the growing importance of analytics,” according to one official. “1010data, as an innovator in the field, has shown a clear ability to execute and ranks among the leaders in the analytical database space.” Though their extensive client base is impressive, many data analytic providers might argue that to be a true leader in the field one must focus on innovation, speed and power. It appears that companies such as SAP, Digital Reasoning and Teradata know that the key to being a leader lies in the technology itself. Maybe, if they stop focusing on arbitrary milestones, 1010 will join their company someday.
